Hello my friends! I hope you are staying healthy and at least somewhat sane!
I just found these pics that I’d started to create a blog post around a while back and since I noticed that this super comfy dress is still available and on sale I figured this is a good time to share it. I was always a fan of comfortable clothing before, but these days that’s pretty much all anyone us is willing to wear. Welcome to the club, haha! I know not all of us are shopping right now, but if you are some really great deals can be found.
Many people have pointed out that I own a lot of dresses – perhaps too many dresses for some. But in my mind a dress is often just the best/easiest option. It’s one piece, generally comfy (if you’re anything like me), and it looks more pulled together than your average casual look. What’s better than looking like you put some effort or thought into your look AND being comfortable all day? Nothing!
This dress is so good; it’s become a major go-to in my closet. I really like the “layered” mock turtleneck and the skirt is so soft and flowy! The whole thing is nice and lightweight so you can still wear it even when the temps rise a bit. I had a hard time choosing between this color and the black option, but seeing as how all of my darker clothes immediately get animal hair on them, I figured this was the better option. Plus, I really love pink so…
I’ve worked from home for 9 years now (holy crap, right?! Where does the time go?) so I have gotten used to it and really love it most the time. But I know many others right now have to adjust to working in their own homes and that can be pretty tricky. I tend to go from pj’s to workout clothes to lounge clothes throughout the day – so there’s not actually much difference. LOTS of stretch and soft fabrics basically.
But I do try to dress up a bit from time to time, if for no other reason than so Leo can have something nicer to look at lol. Many who work from home find it important to get dressed for the day and I can understand that.
It does help a bit to “dress the part” when one is just getting used to working at home. I don’t need to be wearing “real clothes” to do my daily work, but I do find that if I put on a bit of makeup is makes me feel a tad more accomplished and then if I do see anyone I feel better about it. Those interactions are much rarer these days, but it can be nice to spruce oneself up a bit for for Zoom meetings or FaceTime virtual happy hour dates.
We’ve all heard the horror stories of people wearing pjs on the bottom and work clothes up top only to be found out accidentally (not fun) so this type of look gets my vote for working from home. I find that I pretty much have to put on clothes before lunch or it doesn’t happen. As the day goes by it seems less and less important. How do you feel about it? Is this an issue for you too?

I do really miss the freedom of being able to get out whenever I want to, but I have to say this social distancing has helped me appreciate the little things more. It can’t last forever, so stay strong my friends!
Enjoy your weekend!
XOXO, Kate

Love the dress! I’ve got my day time jammies and my evening jammies these days! Girls call it my “going out robe”
Thanks Lisa! Ahaha that’s hilarious 😆 It’s a unique time to be sure. Comfort is important!
