Well, I’ve done it again. I bought this lovely maxi dress in ivory a few years ago and loved it so much that I am now the proud owner of the blue version as well. It’s just SO good! Even though I have many options to choose from within my closet, I invariably choose the comfiest and easiest to wear options – so I have have already gotten a lot of mileage out of both colors.
Yes, the ivory looks like a chic nightgown and the blue can easily make me look like I’m going to a Fleetwood Mac concert (too bad I didn’t have this little lady when I did actually go to one!), but those are not actually cons in my book. It was pretty tough deciding between the blue (shaded lake) and the grey (horseshoe), but since I’ve found myself wearing blue more often lately I went in that direction. I’m glad I did because it pairs beautifully with my new OTK boots!
Unfortunately I have not seen this dress go on sale for quite a while, but Free People keeps offering it in new colors so there will likely be opportunities to grab it for less than the retail price. This may shock you as I never buy things at full price, but I would consider it for this dress because I just love it so much.
I think I might wear this again to the grocery store today 🙂 What do you think – too covered up or just right?
