Free People’s Hello And Goodbye Mesh Midi Dress

Hello friends! I hope you are doing well 💕

Sorry for my long absence, but I have some great new pieces I’ve found during my hunker down at home time that want to share with y’all, so here I am!  I’m starting to think that I should have named this blog “Kate Wears Free People” or something like that. Of course I do like other brands, but none of them appeal to me quite the way FP stuff does. My closet might as well be a FP store at this point and I am not mad at it. Good thing they offer new dresses all the time and you can find them at such steep discounts! This dress is currently over 50% off, so snag one while you can!

I am all about anything easy and comfy these days and this guy fits the bill perfectly. It’s oh-so-stretchy, has sleeves (which seems so rare these days), is light and airy, and is not too short to bend over while wearing. Score! I had a hard time choosing between the blue (“light combo”) and the orange (“rich combo”), but I’m really glad I went with the blue. It’s great for hotter days, but still feels girlie. *Swoon* You likely can’t really see it from the pics, but I just had to break out my gold headband (similar one here) for this look. I almost wrote tiara instead of headband hehe; there’s something about a mini or maxi dress that makes me feel regal. Katie like!

I ❤️  this clutch so much I actually use it as a wallet day to day, but I love that I can also attach the crossbody chain and make it hands free if I want to. It makes it so very versatile. It’s too old to be available online at this point, but I found some similar options here and here.

This dress comes with a slip, but it’s mini length and was just too short for my taste so I used a tea length slip that came with a different FP dress (natch, similar option here) and it worked great! I have also worn it with this seamless romper and it looked great! It added a little more edge. I’ve also been playing around with wearing this little lady with jeans or jean shorts, as pictured online, but I have not yet gone there as I need to work on my tucking game 😉

I recently found these sunglasses (similar option here) after thinking I’d lost them, woot! I think it added a little more fun to the look. Plus, as my friend Sarah says, you can peep on people like crazy and they’ll never know with the mirrored lenses ahahaha.
