If you know me or my blog even a little bit then you know I love a midi dress! Now that I’m a bit more “mature” I especially love a midi dress with sleeves, but that can get Amish looking really quick. So when I found this dress on the Marshall‘s website I didn’t have high hopes, but I figured I would give it a try for the price. Plus, I have always wanted to try this brand.
Turns out it’s a score! It has all the little touches of a higher quality garment (i.e. rubber strips to keep the sleeves on your shoulders, a nice quality built in slip, nice linen material) and it’s really flattering. The slit is just as much as you can get away with IMO. What do you think?
I got a lot of compliments on it during my errand day yesterday – and it even looked pretty good (even though I was sweating like crazy) after running around in 97 degree heat. It didn’t wrinkle as much as I expected, especially for linen. I’m loving this one so much I’ll have to check out the other House of Harlow dresses on Marshall’s.com. I don’t think this brand is really available anywhere else at this point, so it’s worth a look I think.
The bag is a purchase that’s actually years in the making – it’s taken me forever to find a white or ivory bag I really like. I happened to grab this from 6pm.com during the perfect time as I cannot find it anywhere for as cheap today, but it is still available and worth the price if you’re in the market. It’s a quality leather bag. No more throwing purses away after five years for this girl lol.
XO, Kate
