Even though I have a very robust closet, I’ve only bought a few blazers to date and they were immediately and thoughtlessly relegated to workwear in my mind. But that’s changed and I’m finally getting on the blazer bandwagon! I often see other bloggers post pics of the cutest blazers (see examples here and here), but I always stop myself from buying any of them as it can be hard to find a perfect fit online (I usually have to size up due to my bust and shoulders) and they just seemed too “business woman” for everyday wear.
However, I think I have found the perfect blazer for work and beyond! Others must agree with me because it keeps going out of stock and then getting restocked 😉 I fully expected to get it and return it, but nope. It’s a true winner! I like that it looks a bit like denim from afar, it helps keep it on the more casual side I think. While I was on the site I also grabbed an adorable and oh-so-soft cardigan and a blouse with boho vibes that were on sale and I kept those too! Sadly they are now either sold out or close to sold out, but I found some similar options that are available here, here, here, and here. And if your size is sold out in the blazer keep checking back, they’ll probably restock it soon .
Honestly, I was a little surprised to find so much good stuff on the WHBM site. I’ve bought things from them before (like 10 years ago), but it was always more formal stuff and in-store. I’ll definitely be logging into their site more often going forward.
I doubt anyone would disagree with my fairly obvious observation that COVID has changed many aspects of our lives, including how most of us dress. These days I think it’s actually pretty rare to see people wearing anything other than athletic clothes or other super causal attire. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but I enjoy looking put together as it really has an effect on how I feel in general – and how I feel is of the utmost importance to me. When I wore it for a random grocery store trip the other day I could feel many appreciative eyes on me as I wen’t about my business. I am not afraid to be the dressiest person in a room anymore, in fact I kind of like it. When leaving the house feels like an occasion, why not put a tiny bit of effort into it?
Please excuse my SUPER dusty mirror in some of the following pics. I didn’t notice it at first, but oh my goodness it was overdue for a wipe down lol. BTW, I have not worn these jeggings in a while and I’d forgotten how comfy, stretchy, and flattering they are! I highly recommend the dream jeggings from AE if you like the look of jeans and the feel of pj’s.
