Hello!! How the heck are you? Staying healthy and sane I hope 😉
I am soooo happy to be healthy again (both Leo and I are freshly recovered from COVID)! I could not wait to get out of the house now that it’s the weekend, I feel good again, and we’ve completed our quarantines. So we went on a little adventure today and I realized that I had a bunch of new stuff on that I could share with you all – so here we are lol.
First and foremost – my new fitness tracker! I’ve had a Garmin Vivomove HR for years now and loved it, but it was just a little too big/masculine for me so when I spotted this more girly version at Macy’s around my birthday last year I had to have it! Luckily I had some holiday gift cards! I love it so, so much. It’s the perfect blend of fashion and function IMO. And doesn’t this bracelet set look so cute paired with it? I love Express, somehow I always have Express cash and since I get free shipping I don’t that $ go to waste!
Now onto this dress – another new favorite! I grabbed it as a “birthday gift” from H&M’s rewards program and had a hard time deciding between this lighter wash and the darker option. I think I picked the right one, what about you?
It does wrinkle a bit, obviously, but it wasn’t too bad for how long I had been sitting. It’s made from partially recycled materials and a nice thickness, not too stiff and not too stretchy. I can see this being a very versatile piece. I was very comfortable and the slits make it easy to move in and more flattering. I think this dress could work for a really wide range of ages and sizes.
As the reviewers note, the pockets are huge, but for me it wasn’t an issue. It’s likely more of an issue for more petite gals. Make sure to size down if you get this dress. I’m wearing a M and I’m more of a L/XL these days. Â
And last, but certainly not least: my new bag. OMfreakingG I love this thing! It’s probably the best purse I’ve ever had. It languished on my wish list for about 2 years before I finally got it as a birthday gift. It’s even better than I expected, yay! I’ve never really gravitated to olive green before, but lately it’s been my go-to neutral. For example I grabbed this cute olive green Moto jacket (XL) as an impulse buy from Nordstromrack when Sarah was in town and I’m still all about it!
My new knee high boots were the perfect match for this dress and kept me nice and warm, even though it was a bit nippy outside. I was surprised that the heel height wasn’t really an issue, a definite perk!
I’ll be back soon showcasing some Banana Republic Factory finds…
Much love, Kate
