This top was such a great buy! When I’m feeling lazy I just throw it on with some jeans and maybe a hat if it’s a sunny day. It’s SO soft and comfy AND it’s on sale now for less than $50! If you buy it by March 30th you can get it for under $40 (an extra 20% off) with code SPRING! FYI they also offer this cute plaid number in pink.
Yes, you could just tie a regular plaid shirt at the waist and achieve a similar effect, but I’ve noticed I fuss with the tie a lot less when it’s a built-in feature. Plus the quality is so good! This guy should last a long time, like my “Jolene” plaid dress by Sanctuary from a past post. It still looks brand new and retained its softness 🙂
This hat is another great buy. I had to exchange the fedora my sweet sister got me for Christmas as my noggin was too big for it, but it worked out in the end because the wider brim is A LOT more flattering on me.
The brim size is the most important component when it comes to finding the best hat for a specific face. I like a medium brim in general. Too small and it looks way odd and same thing with an extra wide brim.
If you can, try some on in-store before buying online to save yourself the possible returns. Most Nordstrom stores will have Brixton hats in stock. FYI it says it’s a men’s hat on Amazon, but it’s really unisex.
I think it’s safe to say I am now 100% a hat person. It took me a long time to work up the bravery to wear hats and now I’m asking myself why exactly that was the case. It’s funny how sticking out from the crowd can be both desirable and undesirable. I guess I’m just less self-conscious now. Winning! Haha
I completely blanked on sharing my new Garmin Vivomove HR in my last couple posts. I had to buy a new fitness tracker when my old Fitbit Flex finally died (after 5 years or so) to be able to earn points and gift cards through my work so I took a long time looking around for one that would still look cute with any outfit. I settled on this one and I am in luuurrrvveee!
You’d never know it was a fitness tracker if you don’t look closely. Sadly I couldn’t get any really good shots of the face to show you all, but when you turn your wrist to look at the face the display lights up with your steps and the date.
Totally worth the full price IMO – especially if you get points through your work or insurance company for your physical activity like I do. I lucked out and got it during a sale at Macy’s. Woot! And I bought some replacement bands in rubber in a variety of colors from Amazon since the band it came with has a leather band.
I’m still somewhat obsessed with my dream jeans from American Eagle. They are a bit pricey, but right now AE is offering a BOGO for 50% off deal!
I’ve been wearing booties so much lately due to the cold weather that I was pretty stoked to be able to break out my comfy open toed “Kivah” sandals from INC. I already have the black and the almond and I might just have to get another pair at some point. I can walk all day in them! Plus, the leg lengthening effect of heels is most welcome right now! Lol
What are you most excited to wear now that it’s spring? I have a bunch of dresses just waiting to be worn!
Thanks for visiting!!
XO, Kate
